General Assembly
The General Assembly or GA is the most visible, open, and regular event of Student Union. It places emphasis on representation and collective decision-making. The General Assembly convenes every two weeks. Regardless of whether or not you hold a voting position in Student Union, we welcome your attendance and participation. When you come to the GA, do not hesitate to voice your concerns and bring your suggestions and proposals. We strive to remain efficient and focused on our goals to help our students with all issues affecting them. Documents to Read
The Union Constitution: like any document with the name “constitution” in it, is the charter that serves as the foundation of our organization. You should also read Rhett’s Rules of Order; in Congress, there is parliamentary procedure. We have a set of rules to be follwed in our General Assembly as well. Please familiarize yourself with these rules.
